The feeling of being treasured

When someone includes one of our pieces in an Etsy Treasury, the feeling of excitement and pleasure is delightful. This warm feeling does not seem to diminish with familiarity. We were just as ‘stoked’ over the two treasuries in which we were featured this weekend as we were over the first one.

We want to extend our most heart-felt gratitude to everyone that has ever treasured one of our items. But, going forward, we want to do a bit more. We are going to publicly and individually thank the amazing Treasury Curators.

I have created my share of treasuries, and I can tell you it is a lot of work.

On Saturday (or Friday night), Bonnie Sernesky of Bonnie’sSew Crazy, included our Sun Worshiper Earrings in the beautiful treasury Tangerine and Sunshine. We were at a shows all day Saturday and Sunday, so I’m just getting around to saying, “Thank you, Bonnie.”

Last night,  or this morning, Tracy Quigley Bailif, of Mercury's Glass, included our Connemara Marble and AmethystInfinity Ear Cuff in her lovely treasury Can’t You Just Smell the Lilacs. Thank you, Tracy. We love being treasured.

To round out our weekend, our Tree of Life Chalice –Summer, was selected for inclusion in Made for Me by Oaklie’s Great Finds contest. Please feel free to stop by and check out the amazing items that are showcased here – and it would be OK to vote for us.

We are feeling very loved on this fine Monday.

Who is Danu?

We are a mother and  daughter team, and we are frequently asked, "which one is Danu?" Well, here is the answer:

Danu is one of the Ladies of the Tuatha de Danann. This is a wonderful description on Celtic Mythology. She is/was one of the Celtic, or pre-Celtic, goddesses that embodied the spirit of Earth Mother.

Danu, in the form of the fierce dragon in our logo, guided us in starting Danu's Treasure Trove. She continues to offer encouragement and guidance.

The pieces we create are always more than pretty baubles; the elements selected in their creation have deeper meanings. The properties of many of the stones we use can be found at Stone Info, along with some lovely pictures.

We invite you to browse our facebook page and our Etsy Shop to see what we have been up to with Danu's help.
